Duties

The Ombudsman has the duty to:

  1. Receive reports on suspected Maladministration in the implementation of Public Services
  2. Conduct substantive examinations of Reports
  3. Follow up on Reports that fall within the Ombudsman's scope of authority
  4. Conduct investigations on its own initiative regarding suspected Maladministration in the implementation of Public Services
  5. Coordinate and collaborate with other state institutions or government agencies, as well as with community organizations and individuals
  6. Build networks
  7. Take preventive measures against Maladministration in the implementation of Public Services
  8. Carry out other tasks assigned by Law.

Function

The Ombudsman functions to oversee the implementation of Public Services organized by the State and Government, both at the central and regional levels, including those organized by State-Owned Enterprises and private bodies or individuals tasked with providing specific public services.
